Aris Scripting - Error when I save the image

Hello,

I have an error when I try to save the image with the script, using the picture.Save function. This stops the server Aris. Does anyone have an idea?
Script that generate the error :
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

var picture = listeModele[iModele].Graphic(false,false,this.config.langue[iLangue]);
picture.Save(this.config.imageFolder +"\\" + listeModele[iModele].GUID() + "_"  + ".png");

the error :  recv() failed i/o error during read java.net.socketexception connection reset

ARIS Connect Landing Page

Hello Everyone

Recently started using ARIS 9 & facing difficulties to do the Changes for Landing PAGE.

The issue is when i access the ARIS connect default link - http://IPADDRESS/ or the http://IPADDRESS/#default/home, it does not launch or go to credentials page directly. Everytime i have to login, i have to choose "Log in" from the options. Please advise how & where can i look for to make this changes

ARIS PPM Session time out

Hi,

I have a problem: After a few minutes (2-3 mins) i got this error message in ARIS PPM:Error accessing database

Its very complicated to work like this, because I have to quit and relog every 2 mins. Where can I modify the client session time-out?

Please give me a solution how to solve this. Thank you!

I'm working with aris 9.8 and i can't make a RACI matrix. The only information that i get are functions with "R" Responsible.

Where is the "Connectors setup" to have the options for "Accountable, Consulted, Informed" during modeling?

ARIS deployment - Challenges and Key Factors to consider

Hi, I would be working to deploy ARIS from ground up. Is there a checklist that I should keep in mind? 

My additional queries are: 

  1. What has been an ideal timeframe for say a group of 30 IT folks to learn ARIS in a practical way to be able to create and maintain artifacts?
  2. What has been an ideal timeframe for say a group of 10 Business Users to learn ARIS in a practical way to be able to create and maintain artifacts?
  3. What is the process to get an ARIS professional to work with me on the project? (hourly rate etc)
  4. Are there any issues that I should consider? (any one who has faced any known issue and has a solution)
  5. What is a typical installation model for the best use case. 

I understand every installation and use case might differ, and hence we are talking about a government body who would be using ARIS as their default EA tool. It would be used to create, maintain and disseminate EA material and models, across the enterprise.

E-Mail transmission warning

Hello,

i'm creating an executable process with ARIS Process Governance and have a problem i can't find a reason for. 

In the process, many times, emails are sent out. For some reason these emails do not always reach their destination and the following error mail is generated: 

Dear Process Governance administrator,

An attempt was made to send the following message:

<<Mail content>>

The message could not be sent to all recipients.

Sent to:

Not sent to:

Best regards,
Process Governance

This Error occurs completely random, sometimes the task is fullfilled the normal way and sometimes it's not. In the dataflow model in the APG i can't find the mistake, because the mail is adressed to users. 

These users are selected by another user in a dialog within the "user" element. 

Does someone know why this error occurs?

Reports in ARIS Connect

Hi,

I was working in ARIS Connect and I have come through one scenario that for a user all the reports which are visible for ARIS Connect is getting displayed for a model but for the same model when a different user logs in is seeing less reports when compared to previous users.

From further investigation I found out that the user who was getting all the reports was having Designer/Architect license along with Connect Viewer license but for the other user only Connect Viewer license is present. Further investigation i saw that the user having only Connect license was seeing only newly created reports and not the ARIS standard reports which is present with the installation and the user having both the license could see both User defined as well as Standard reports.

 

So the question is, does ARIS Standard reports can only be seen in ARIS Connect by the users having both Designer/Architect and Connect license or is there problem in our environment?

Slowness while opening the first model

Hi,

There is a slowness issue in our environment, i.e., user when opens the first model in ARIS Designer it is taking longer time to open and then the rest of the models takes normal time.

 

Can anyone help me on why the first model takes longer time when compared to other models. I know it is taking some time to load some items for the first time but I'm not sure what.

So I would like to know what are the things which loads while opening the model.

I am using Aris 9.7 and i need to find out when was my " Aris SERVICE" restarted on my Windows 2012 server

 

Is there any command line argument that i can use to check this out or is there any thing in the Widows services 

from where i can learn about uptime of service ?

ARIS Filter Import Fail(96.0.3.909814 -> 96.0.3.910655)

Hello.
We have two ARIS System
One is a system in which existing ARIS, and the other is a newly installed system ARIS.

a version of Existing ARIS System is 96.0.3.909814, a version of new ARIS System is 96.0.3.910655.
We currently can not install a later version (9.7, 9.8, etc ...).

We export filters and templates from existing systems.
It failed to import them into the new system.

Please inform me the solution.

Human task completed event in dataflow

maybe someone can help me. I'm modeling a governance process and can't find out how to get to this kind of event starting at a normal human task: 

I can't find the possibility to change the "normal" human task into a completed event. 

Can someone help me?

HTML Export Problem

Hi everyone,

I am trying to publish an ARIS Database through an HTML Export, but when I start this process the HTML Export is never completed and I keep seeing this window until I have to click cancel:

I have waited for 24 hours to verify if the export is completed but with no success.

Can anyone help me on this issue?

Run SAP Transaction from Publisher 9.8

Hi community,

I'm looking forword to run SAP transaction from ARIS PUBLISHER 9.8. 

After setting up all the technical requirements (SAPJCO, BP server config, Screen object attributes.....) I'm able to run transaction from Business Architect and Designer but not from Publisher. 

I see the same Java based Wizard with the same SAP informations (SAP server, transaction code,....) but when I click on run from publisher it dosn't work (nothing happen). Sounds like a bug.....did anyone faced this problem before?

BPMN Export Description Error

Hello,

I seem to be running into an error when importing BPMN models as ".bpmn" file types.  When I upload the file, the definitions for the tasks do not upload.  The model builds fine, and the tasks have names and connections without issue, but the descriptions are not importing.

When I open the .bpmn file, I can see the descriptions of the tasks as children of the task tags, so I know they exported okay.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to fix this.
