Possible to create a calendar linked to processes?
Hi all,
I need to know which product to use for the following target. I have some clients that use ARIS Architect and Designer to map their internal processes. What you might use in order to create some kind of process calendar. For example if I have a process that must be done every year on January 2, I would like to have a calendar each year that on Jan. 2 allows me to extract the processes that need to be made on that date. The calendar should be updated automatically: for example, if January 2 next year happens on Sunday then it must go to January 3.

Change multiple ARIS object’s attributes to a specified value
Hi All,
We need to update 1000+ server and application details in our inventory. We were manually updating these details in the past.
Could someone please advice how to automate changing multiple ARIS object attributes to a specified value in ARIS 9.6 instead of doing this one by one manually.

Change from demo to medium scenario in aris 9.8 installation
For first time installation , we only have resource for demo scenario. Could we change the demo scenario to medium later in connect/publisher server installation? And how about change the standard db to sql server ? Do we have documentation here

Aris Business Designer 7.2 login issues
Hi all, i am totally new to Aris Business Designer 7.2 and I hope that i ask my question in the right forum.
This week two Windows domain controllers are switched off. Those 2 DC's were used for user authentication by LDAP.
Now the users cannot login to Aris. Is there a simple trick to change the old dc's to 2 new dc's?

Creating Model Version gets wrong results
Hi everyone!
I'm testing some features in ARIS 9.8SR4 regarding to versioning for my customer. It seems to me that something goes wrong. Please, help me to sort it out.
Let's suppose we have created a new clear versionable DB and two empty models in Main Group. Now model1 is "approved" while model 2 is still in development. We want model1 (only model1) to be available in Current Versioning State.
I'm making version for model1 and getting Change List 1 that posses the model1.
Nothing else were created with Change list 1
It’s everything ok for a while.
Let’s check it out. Logging out, Logging in with Versioning State: Change List 1, and… we can see both model1 and model2
Is it normal? I have supposed to see only model1. What is wrong?

ARIS Not Opening
Hi ,
I have installed ARIS in the server and I am trying to access ARIS through download client from a Citrix Receiver.
When i tried to launch the application through the download client i am getting the ARIS update pop up but after that it is not getting launched. When checked i can see that the Citrix receiver used is of 32 bit and I know that ARIS does not work in 32 bit. As i am working in Windows 10 I am not able to find the 64 bit Citrix Receiver, can you please help me out on what can be done in-order to work in ARIS.
Previously when working in Windows 7, ARIS was getting launched when tried with Citrix not sure though whether the Citrix used was 32 bit or 64 bit.

ARIS update 98.1 to 98.4
Hello everyone,
I try to update the ARIS to 98.4 version. Can anyone suggest a quick method or description ?
I read that yet in the offical documentation:
„The update from ARIS 9.5 to higher ARIS versions using a Microsoft SQL database system is not possible. A new installation and database migration is recommended.”
We are using now ARIS 98.1 with MSSQL database, do we need to reinstall the ARIS and set up an ORACLE ? (in this case the question, why did ARIS allow to implement MSSQL ,if it not supported from 9.5)

JR-JP Macro
Hello,
We have a new requirement from business where they would like to be prompted when there is a Job role in the model not linked with any job position. (The rule is that every Job Role MUST have a job position linked with it.)
The approach would be as follows:
1. If and when a Job Role is created in a model, a pop up must appear listing all the available Job Position in ARIS which are relevant for connecting that JR.
2. Looking into the list user should select the relevant JP to complete the linking
For the second point client want a customization(as seen in the screen shot) so that after checking the checking the check box then an linking is done in the Matrix model within the JR & JP.
can anyone help we with the #2 pointer for ARIS customization.

The product fact sheet is almost 3 years old. Additionally the product seems not to be in the product tree. You have to explicitly search it.

ARIS Data Modeling
Hi,
Currently my client requirement is capture data modeling for a specific application.
As per my understanding, it has to be captured via Process mapping(BPMN Model) and then create FAD where we create cluster and then map it to eERM model where that particular cluster will specify primary attribute, secondary attribute,etc.
I am not sure whether my understanding is correct or not. I have to capture how the data flows from the application and goes out of the application.
This is my first time I have to work on Data Modeling, so any help on this topic would be appreciated.

Error during Re installing ARIS 9.7 Client
Hi, I try to re install ARIS 9.7 client on Windows 7 x64 to update new license files. But when I double clicked the setup.exe I got an error like "Knowledge base cannot be found. Please copy the directory "Setup_Data" from the installation media to the parent directory of the directory where the setup.exe is stored." But there is no such directory named "Setup_Data"!
Could anybody help me to resolve the problem? tks.

BPMN ARIS express filter
Hi,
I'm using ARIS Architect & Designer, v. 98.5.0 and I'm trying to find a way to import an ARIS express filter because I want my BPMN Collaboration diagrams to look like those in ARIS Express. I read the forum and I found this filter: https://www.ariscommunity.com/users/frank-weyand/2010-07-07-aris-express-22-released-corrected-filter-and-template-avail.... I downloaded and imported the filter via ARIS Architect but it seems that BPMN collaboration diagram is missing. I couldn't find newer version of the ARIS express filter, is there any?

Create a new attribute and use it in a model
He everybody,
We would like to add a new attribute to a symbol. What we have done for the moment is the following:
1. Create the new attribute in the administration module (Configuration\Method\Attribute types –> right button --> New
2. Link the new attribute and the Object (symbol) (Configuration\Method\Object types --> Task --> double click --> Select attributes --> Add
3. Try to add the attribute in the model, but the attribute is not in the list
Could somebody help us. Best wishes to everybody and thank you in advance!
